Army Birthday Party

This post contains affiliate links

The Army goes rolling along.......  yes that song is stuck in my head.  But let me tell you, it is so worth it!!

We had 12, 9 year old boys that were in awe over the details of the party.

I will do detailed posts in the weeks to come, so for now, just sit back and enjoy the pictures!

When the boys arrived to the party, they were each given a custom t-shirt, personalized dog tag, army helmet and a bag for their own belongings.  Then they each had their faces painted in camo. Click here for the DIY Screen Printing tutorial.

After everyone arrived and were all geared up, we took them on a ride in the back of the hummer through the neighborhood.  It was so cute to hear their excitement.  They had cute chants like "U-S-A, U-S-A", "You are safe" and the most favorite one was "VICTORY"!

Sadly though, this mom forgot  to bring the camera along for the ride... so hopefully I did a good enough job to fill your imagination.

The MRE's consisted of "build your own" sandwich kits, a bag of chips, granola bar, applesauce packet, mayo, mustard and a wet ones wipe! Click here to download a FREE MRE printable.

Each child was given a real military canteen.  I used a sharpie to write their names on them, and kept them filled with ice cold water throughout the day!  It was finally 80 degrees here in Oregon!!!

The goodie bags for the party were these cute little bags full of plastic army men.  A MUST have for this theme... right??

After the ride, it was off to boot camp.  Here are the boys just before they started drills...  oh boy were they having a blast!

Sargent Zach with my niece and his daughter Brooklyn.  She was even dressed for the occasion.

After drills it was off to the backyard to hit the ropes course!

And then of course break time........

The party was such a hit, and the boys had a blast!  I owe a big thanks to Daneille for getting the Army stickers for the party (thank you to her sister and brother in-law who is in the Army) and thank you to Rachel for helping me get my backyard all ready for the party!

And thanks to Heather for the help with designing the invitations!!

I could not have done it without any of you.
