Holiday Gift Guide for the Begginer DIY'er { Under $100 }

I often get asked what tools I started out with when I got into the DIY scene.   Below I am going to list some of my favorites that I use weekly and on almost every project I work on!

Here is a great guide for gift giving or starting your own wish list for this upcoming holiday season! Clink on the images for the links to each product.

I am huge fan of Ryobi tools, they are great and affordable.

 Start out with an 18v driver drill (battery sold separately), it will become your best friend!

The Battery is sold separately, but together they are less than $100!

You'll want to grab this carry-all tool tote and start filling it up.  It's so handy to take from project to project with everything tucked inside.

Grab a set drill bits for the driver drill.

I suggest starting out with a small air compressor.   I use mine for DIY projects, but also for things like filling up bike tires, blowing sawdust off of workspaces and things like that.

With my compressor I also purchased this brad nailer.  It is small enough, yet gets all those custom trim jobs done.  Lot's of board & batten installed with this baby!

I started out with a Miter box like this Stanley one, then graduated to a miter saw later down the line.  This tool will help you cut smaller boards for trim and things like that.  Great investment for little money!

The Kreg Jig is my #1 recommended tool if you at all want to consider building furniture.  This was the DIY game changer for me.

Invest in good paint brushes.  Take care of them after you use them and they will last for years.  I buy all Purdy, there are made here in my home state of Oregon and one of the top brushes you can buy on the market.

And then of course, my favorite DIY tool is the hot glue gun!  You can never have too many of these over the years, they are so handy when doing DIY projects.

And because the most important DIY tool is YOU, You must add Personal Protective Equipment to your wish list.  How fun is this set?

And there you have it.  My top 10 beginner DIY tools wish list of 2015!
