UPDATE! We are out of Isolation!

Thank you to everyone for the sweet comments, prayers, and offering to help us in this time of need.  I wanted to give one final update on my precious boy!

Today is day 5 of our hospital stay, and guess what?  We get to LEAVE!!  Yahoo!!!  Jayden was out of Isolation on Thursday night, and was so excited to bust out of his room and head straight to the playground.  And ever since then, that's the only place he wants to be.  Do you blame him?  I sure don't.

Here are a few pictures from the playground just so you can get an idea of what its like.  Its all enclosed just like a big room, but all of the "windows" are wire grates, so you get the fresh air!  Heavenly after being cooped up in here for so long!

This is the view looking out over the bell tower.  This is also on the opposite side from Jaydens room.  He has the amazing river view!  :)

Jayden is doing great, and is 100% back to himself!  His only draws have been his IV. His first IV lasted almost 4 days, until yesterday it blew and they had to re-do it.  Not a happy camper at all!!  But once it was over, and he was brought another big fancy toy he felt fine.  Amazing what toys will do......

Here are some more pictures from Jayden playing in his new favorite place..... (overload warning)

So, now we have the new IV, and only 3 doses of meds left until we can go home...  I left Jayden at the hospital with my grandmother for a few hours last night so I could go and watch the Oregon Duck Men's Basketball team win the CBI tournament!  YAY, GO DUCKS!  (sorry, had to) While I was gone, he slept for 4 hours!!!  Yikes, not a good thing for me!!  I got back around 9:30, and let's just say, the room was a mess and Jayden was having a blast!

I knew I was in for a long night.  We hung out and played until around 12:30, and then I told him it was time to go to bed for the night.  Just after we lyed down the nurse came in hook up his next dose of meds.  As soon as she flushed his IV, Jayden woke up the ENTIRE floor with his blood curdling screams... I KNEW it was bad.  ANOTHER IV blew.  Ok, 2 in one day?  It must be April fools day... nope!  So, yet again they had to poke him back on the other arm to get his new IV hooked up.  By this time, Jayden has just had enough.  He tells me that when they are done, he just needs to go for a walk.  I laughed so hard, but of course I would do anything this little boys asks right now!

So, we hopped up, and walked the halls for about 30 minutes, came back and he decided he was hungry.  Lucky for him, they make Mac-N-Cheese right here on the floor.  He ate every last bit of it, and then decided he could go to bed.  Finally, it's only 2:30 in the morning!

Here's Jayden playing Mario Cart on the Wii.

I woke up today to the Doctor telling me that they will make sure that Jayden is out of here right after his last dose at 5pm, so that we can make it to the Professional Bull Riders show!!  Yep, that's right, I am busting him out of the hospital and taking him to the rodeo!  LOL  I felt like a bad mom, so I checked with the DR over and over, and he said he wants him to go because he needs to get right back into the swing of things, and it will be good for his little spirit!

The countdown is on, we have 3 hours to go!  I am soooo excited!!  I am sure he is more than me though.

So that's pretty much whats going on at this point.  Jayden has to stay clear of sick people for a little bit, and basically if he gets sick at all, he will just need a regular Doctors appointment, but not to worry.  As if I need anymore of that.

I have learned over the last 5 days a lot of things about a lot of people, some good some not so good.  But most importantly it taught me to be patient and not rely on others.  Jayden has shown me how much he needs love, and how much he loves to be loved.  I had the best 5 days alone with him, giving him my undivided attention.  He always has and always will have that special place in my heart, no matter what happens in our future.  I know he will remember this week forever, maybe not details, but who was with him every step of the way, protecting him, and watching over him.

As his doctor put it, I am his angel that saved his life by making the call to take him to the ER.  That really hit home, and brought me to tears.  I never look at it that way.  I don't want to be the "hero" but I guess I really am his hero!  To even think about the what ifs right now, just send me over the edge.

I also miss my children and my husband, and cannot wait to get home and snuggle them and make sure they know I still love them, and help them understand why I was away for so long.  Wish me luck!

The next time I post, should be a FUN and CREATIVE one!!  I've got 27 days until the Star Wars birthday party and 35 days until the Pink Cupcake party.  I've got great ideas all ready to put into action!

Thank you all again for the support!

Amen! So glad J is in the clear now! I have been praying for health for your family. He could not be any cuter! I know I was ready to leave the hospital the day after my kiddos were born, I can't imagine a little guy being stuck in there for 5 days!

Enjoy your family.

You are his ANGEL!
